Cranial Remolding Orthoses
Effective and Gentle Correction for Cranial Asymmetry

What are positional deformities?
Unevenness or asymmetry of a baby’s head which occurs in about one in ten babies. Possible causes include restricted movement in the womb, premature birth, weak neck muscles, sleeping positions, or use of infant carriers.
Talee Cranial Remolding Orthosis
At Wright Orthotics and Prosthetics we provide the Talee from Invent Medical. This 3D printed device provides gentle, yet effective correction of cranial deformities as the baby grows.

Talee Advantages
We provide the Talee because of the many advantages it has over other cranial helmets. It is lightweight, breathable, and requires fewer appointments for adjustments. Its 3D printed 2in1 system allows us to complete treatment with only one orthosis instead of two in 99% of babies. Visit the Invent Medical website for more details about the Talee, including colors and patterns.
What is the Treatment Process?
During a free evaluation, we take a 3-dimensional scan of the baby's head and provide a report that shows the severity of their deformity and determine if treatment is necessary. If treatment is required, this scan is used to fabricate a custom Talee orthosis for the baby which is fit two weeks after the scan. After a short break in period, the ideal wear time is 23 hours every day. We scan the baby's head every month to determine the change in cranial symmetry and shape. Once we've arrived at the optimal head shape (on average after 4.5 months), treatment is complete!
